Near Doctor Phillips is the Harry P. Leu Gardens, which span over 50 acres (20 hectares), provide a peaceful respite from the city’s frantic theme parks. Location of this beautiful place is 1920 N. Forest Ave, Orlando, 32803. Since the Leus gifted the city of Orlando in 1961, Harry P. Leu Gardens has been a popular tourist attraction. Palms, azaleas, and camellias are among the various plant species found here. You can tour various National Historic Register buildings in addition to the specialty garden areas. The Harry P. Leu Gardens are easy to visit on your own and provide a welcome respite from the crowds of other parks.

Before you go, there are a few things you should know.

  • On-site alcohol, pets, bicycles, and picnics are not permitted. So, don’t ever think about doing these things. Otherwise, you may have to give a penalty to the premises.
  • Due to damage incurred by Hurricane Irma, the Leu House Museum, a historic landmark of the gardens, is closed.
  • For a self-guided tour of the gardens, request a complimentary map, by which you can easily visit every corner of the garden.
  • Wheelchair users will find the Harry P. Leu Gardens to be totally accessible, with complimentary wheelchairs supplied on a first-come, first-served basis. So, it will be easy for them to travel to the place easily.

How to Get there without any difficulty?

In the Rowena Gardens neighborhood, you’ll find the Harry P. Leu Gardens. The Sun Rail (Advent Health stop) and bus No. 125 both service the gardens. If you’re travelling by automobile, take Interstate 4 to get to the gardens.
